COVID-19 and locust threats were not given any importance in the budget: Bilawal

Saturday, June 13th: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while rejecting the federal budget for 2020-21 said that no importance was given to the threats facing the country in the budget.
In his response to the budget, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the PTI government presented a disappointing budget, the PPP completely rejects the budget.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Pakistan is facing historical challenges these days, every Pakistani’s life is in danger today because of Corona while the biggest attack of locust is a big threat to our agriculture, food security and economy but these Risks were ignored.
The PPP chairman said that this is the anti-people budget of PTIMF, in which the common man did not get any relief.
He said that there was no increase in salaries and pensions in the budget, at that time the elderly should have been given relief by increasing their pensions. It may be recalled that the federal government has presented the federal budget for the next financial year in the National Assembly.
The total volume of the federal budget for the financial year 20-2021 is Rs. 71.37 trillion in which the government revenue is estimated by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to be Rs. 4963 billion in terms of revenue and Rs. 1610 billion in terms of non-tax revenue. Billions of rupees have been set aside.
According to the budget document, under the National Finance Commission, the federation will pay Rs 2874 billion to the provinces, while the net income of the federation for the next financial year is estimated at Rs 3700 billion and the total federal expenditure is estimated at Rs 7137 billion.
According to this calculation, the budget for the next financial year has a deficit of Rs. 3437 billion, which is 7% of the gross domestic product (GDP).
