COVID-19; cases continue to rise as 50 deaths reported

According to reports of Baaghi TV, most number of deaths reported in Punjab followed by Sindh, as cases continue to rise in Pakistan.

During the last 24-hours most death occurred in Punjab and Sindh. Out of 50 deaths during last 24 hours 27 died on ventilators, 45 died in hospital and 5 died out of hospital. Meanwhile, 2,482 people tested COVID-19 positive on 6 January.

  • GB at 413
  • AJK at 271

It is pertinent to note that 450,515 people have recovered so far across Pakistan making it a significant count. There is no patient on vent in AJK, GB & Balochistan while, 315 vents occupied across Pakistan.

A total of 495,075 cases detected so far with AJK at 8,416, Balochistan at 18,300, GB at 4,874, ICT at 38,687, KP at 60,229, Punjab at 142,835 and Sindh at 221,734.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, the death toll has been confirmed as 10,511 with Sindh at 3,653 (16 died in hospital and 3 died out of hospital on 6 Jan), Punjab at 4,203 (17 died in hospital and 2 died out of hospital on 6 Jan), KP at 1,702 (7 died in hospital on 6 Jan), ICT at 434 (2 died in hospital on 6 Jan), Balochistan at 186 (-), GB at 101 (-), and AJK at 232 (3 died in hospital on 6 Jan).

6,964,337 tests have been conducted since the outbreak while, 626 hospitals with COVID-19 facilities treating 2,771 patients admitted across the country.
