COVID-19: Govt to fix price of Sputnik-V vaccine soon

Lahore, (19th March, 4:30 pm): Health authorities in Pakistan will keep a fix price of COVID-19 vaccine imported by private sector.

Baaghi TV, According to reports, the government has ordered to fix the price of COVID-19 vaccine imported by the private sector to ensure that people are not fleeced.

According to reports from ARY News, the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan’s (DRAP) processing board will meet today in Islamabad to lock the price of the imported vaccine.

The sources also revealed that DRAP will forward its recommendations to the federal cabnet for approval regarding the issue of price cap on the vaccine.

It is to be noted that a Karachi-based pharmaceutical company has received the first consignment of Russian made Sputnik-V vaccine.

An officer of the private firm said that the price of the vaccine will be fixed by the government soon.

The COVID-19 vaccines would be stored at the cold storage till approval of the price by the government.

As per earlier reports of Baaghi TV, DRAP had granted approval to the Russian COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use in February.
