Mumbai, 20th October: Half of India’s population is feared to be infected with the coronavirus, according to a recent study.
Baaghi TV: An Indian government committee tasked with projecting the coronavirus has said that by February next year, about half of the country’s population will be infected with the deadly pandemic.
According to the report, it is likely that around 1.3 billion people will be infected with coronavirus in India.
At present, 7.5 million people in India are infected with the coronavirus and it is the second most infected country after the United States.
However, after reaching the highest peak in September, it started to decline, and according to a foreign news agency, an average of 61,390 new cases are being reported in India every day.
Manindra Agarwal, a professor at the Indian Institute for Technology Kanpur and a member of the government committee, says that according to our mathematical model estimates, 30 per cent of the population is currently affected by the pandemic and it will reach 50 per cent by February 2010.
