According to the report of Baaghi TV, educational institutions in provinces besides Sindh have commenced operations in the second phase by welcoming more students.
The second phase of educational activities has started in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Schools have opened up classes up to VI, VII and VIII.
Schools in the provincial capital of Punjab, Lahore, have also been closed for six months due to the corona virus. However, now educational activities have started in schools. Full attendance of children was seen in the schools on the first day. Corona SOPs were also implemented by the school administration.
Educational activities were also resumed in the federal capital, Islamabad. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as in the rest of the country, from the sixth grade to the eighth grade, educational institutions reopened today, and the children happily arrived at school.
Educational institutions in Balochistan have been required to implement SOPs issued by the government. After the first phase, a total of 35 educational institutions across the country were closed due to corona cases being reported in educational institutions.
Classes from sixth to eighth in Sindh will be open from September 28, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said, adding that no compromise can be made on children’s health, visited various districts to review the implementation of SOPs.
Educational institutions across the country were reopened on September 15. However, as soon as the schools reopened, cases of coronavirus were found in children, teachers and school staff.
The NCOC said that parents and teachers are requested to pay special attention to the following issues while sending their children to school. Never send children to school if they show symptoms of cough or illness. If the condition is worse, the child should be tested immediately. The school should be informed in case of a positive result.
The NCOC added that social distance between children should be maintained. Make sure children wash their hands regularly or use a hand sanitizer. Drivers who take children to school or college should ensure social distance in their vehicles. Make sure the children are wearing face masks while sitting in the car.
