COVID-19: National Coordination Committee to extend the lockdown
Islamabad, 13th April: The meeting held by the National Coordination Committee has come to an end and major decisions have been taken. According to reports of Baaghi TV, The Prime Minister presided over the meeting attended by the Chief Ministers of the provincial ministers, federal ministers, chairman NDMA, military and senior officials of civil institutions. The meeting also gave a detailed briefing on the economic situation of the country due to COVID-19. The meeting reviewed the progress of measures taken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the country and discussed strategies to mitigate the effects arising from this challenge. The Command and Operations Center made its recommendations in light of the country’s overall situation. In the meeting, the Prime Minister has approved to extend the lockdown on the request of the Chief Minister Sindh. The official extension of the lockdown will be announced tomorrow, the meeting of the National Coordination Committee will be held again tomorrow.
