COVID-19: Notification issued pertaining to operation of schools
Government has reportedly issued notification to re-open all public schools for staff in Punjab amid virus outbreak.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, Section Officer ACAD, Muhammad Issa Lali, has issued a notification pertaining to the opening and commencement of operations for government academic institutions across Punjab. As per the issued notification, “the competent authority has been pleased to allow opening of the offices of District Education Authorities in Punjab with skeleton staff and admin.”

According to reports of Baaghi TV, all government schools across Punjab have been ordered to open two days a week between 10 am to 2 pm. At present, only staff has been called in the schools, as per reports.

Moreover, it is schools are ordered to ensure the mandatory use of face masks while dealing with parents and/or visitors, as well as a strict compliance with the norms of social distancing. It is to be noted, that the schools are supposed to ensure the facilitation of soaps and hand-sanitizers, respectively, and to ensure that washrooms cleanliness and disinfection through use of chlorine solution on a regular basis.

Furthermore, according to reports of Baaghi TV, it is to be ensured by the institutes that no student be allowed on campus for any purpose.
