COVID-19: Over 700 new cases reported across Pakistan

LAHORE (30th Sept, 2020): Latest figures released by the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) show that the number of cases has risen to more than 740 in a single day.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, 747 people tested COVID-19 positive on the 29th of September, while, 5 people lost their lives during the last 24 hours. The deaths were reported from patients undergoing treatment in hospitals.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan are 8,903 as of 30th September meanwhile, 32,031 tests have been conducted on the 29th of September. Provincial statistics show that Sindh conducted 10,881, Punjab conducted 11,239, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) conducted 3,888, Islamabad conducted 3,442, Balochistan conducted 1,617, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) conducted 533, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) conducted 431 tests.

So far, 296,881 people have recovered across Pakistan making it a significant count. Additionally, there is no patient on ventilator in AJK & Balochistan. However, 93 ventilators are occupied across Pakistan out of 1,912 vents allocated for COVID-19.

A total of 312,263 cases detected so far in AJK 2,698, in Balochistan 15,257, in GB 3,778, in Islamabad 16,581, in KP 37,776, in Punjab 99,378, in Sindh 136,795.

It is to be noted that the death tollis reported as 6,479 across Pakistan. Provincial statistics show that Sindh is at 2,497 (2 Died in hospital on 29th Sept), Punjab is at 2,234 (no deaths), KP is at 1,259 (no deaths), Islamabad is at 182 (1 Died in hospital on 29th Sept), Balochistan is at 145 (no deaths), GB is at 88 (no deaths), AJK is at 74 (2 Died in hospital on 29th Sept).

According to reports of Baaghi TV, 3,514,237 tests have been conducted since the outbreak spread across Pakistan. Meanwhile, 735 hospitals with COVID-19 facilities are servicing nearly 687 patients admitted across the country.
