COVID-19: Pakistani channel closes Islamabad office

Lahore (27th April, 2020): Islamabad office closed after Coronavirus identified among 8 employees of a private TV channel. According to reports of Baaghi TV, the Islamabad office of private TV channel ARY, has been closed after eight employees were diagnosed with COVID-19. ARY owner, Salman Iqbal, posted on social networking site Twitter that the office was closed after 8 people from ARY Islamabad tested positive. It was reported that 20 employees were tested, out of which 8 were identified as COVID-19 positive. The Islamabad office was closed due to the spread of Corona and employees were instructed to stay at home. As a precautionary measure random testing was done in ARY Isb office ,8 reported positive out of 20 tests, 2 have shown symptoms.We have closed our isb office ,all staff will be tested and office to be sanitised.Till all staff is tested employees have been asked to stay at home. — Salman Iqbal ARY (@Salman_ARY) April 27, 2020 It should be noted that earlier in Islamabad, employees of Hum News have also been diagnosed with COVID-19.
