Audio Recording: PIA pilot rudely violates ATC instructions

Lahore, 19th March: According to the reports of Baaghi TV, Pakistan Government has to take special steps in restricting the activities in order to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

In this regard, Pakistan International Airlines have taken a step forward and declared it mandatory for every traveler to present a coronavirus test certificate before entering the country.

According to the spokesperson at the Civil Aviation Authority, the entry of the passengers arriving from overseas starting from 23:59 hours on the 20th of March has been subjected to the provision of a coronavirus test report at the airport.

It is mandatory that a passenger from abroad has to take his test 24 hours before the flight, the test report must include the passenger’s name and passport number. All the airlines have been issued clear instructions in this regard, it has been reiterated that entry into Pakistan’s borders will be granted only if the coronavirus report is provided. This condition will remain in effect until April 4. A person testing positive will be kept in quarantine in the respective country.

Coronavirus: Pilgrims from Taftan border, virus carriers?

This move was essential to further control the situation, as the toll in Pakistan has reached up to 300 now, and is on the rise due to the entry of people from Pak-Afghan border and the Taftan border connecting us to Iran.

It is reported that around 86% of people are roaming around undetected in China still, six of every seven cases were not reported initially before the travel ban was implemented in China, which has driven the spread of the virus in the country.

COVID-19: The toll reached 200 in Pakistan

As per the reports, it is the undocumented infections that are driving the spread of the outbreak of the coronavirus. People, in the beginning, show mild symptoms of the virus, and when left undetected, they transmit the bug, that might cause severe signs in other people.

People take their flu symptoms light and do not recognize that they have a cold and roam freely putting others at the risk. The travel ban is a positive step in this regard if we want to contain the spread of the virus from the people coming from abroad.

According to the unconfirmed sources, the first positive case in Kolkata, India was reported a few days back, the boy was the son of a State Govt employee and a student of Oxford. His mother is a Secretary Level Civil Service Officer, and his father is a Child Specialist Doctor of Municipal authority.

COVID-19: Government offices closed in Punjab

The boy refused to be quarantined because when the airport staff said to get admitted to the hospital he refused and roamed around in the malls, other places, this way he contacted several people and became a carrier for the virus putting lives of so many at the risk.

So the government is bound to take serious steps in restricting the activities of the citizens to contain the spread of the coronavirus, as each person could be a suspected target of this virus.

The step by the Aviation Authority is necessary at this time if we want to stop the further spread of the disease in Pakistan.
