COVID-19: Shaniera Akram urges people to stay home

Shaniera Akram, wife of former captain Wasim Akram, has asked the people to strictly follow social distancing and stay at home to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Shaniera, who has been trying to spread awareness about the novel COVID-19, has said that “scientists, doctors and politicians cannot stop the virus from spreading. People are the only ones who can.” She further said, “We can’t leave this all up to them. We need to play our part too!”

“Make all the excuses you want, but every time one of us breaks quarantine, it’s pretty much the equivalent to laughing in the face of a healthcare worker!” she had previously tweeted.

Look around you now. Look at your children, your loved ones, even your own reflection.Every time you leave the house unnecessarily,these are the lives you’re putting at risk.Because of your actions,these people might end up lying in a hospital bed,alone, not being able to breath!

She further mentioned how every citizen should follow the SOPs and be cautious because everyone is at an equal risk of being affected by the deadly virus.

Earlier, Shaniera Akram and her husband Wasim Akram requested people to donate to the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Fund. The Akrams have donated Rs 1 million to the fund.
