Covid-19: The death toll in Pakistan rises above 5,000

According to the report of Baaghi TV, the spread of Corona continues in Pakistan, more than 5,000 deaths have been reported from Corona.

In the last 24 hours, 2,751 new cases of corona have been reported and 75 people have lost their lives, bringing the total number of deaths due to corona virus in Pakistan to 5,058 while the total number of patients is 2,43,599.

According to the data released by the National Command and Operations Center on Corona virus, 149,092 people have been cured of Corona virus in Pakistan. During the last 24 hours, 23,555 tests were performed across the country and a total of 1,514,858 tests have been performed till date.

In Punjab, 1,972 deaths have been reported from corona virus. A total of 1,677 patients have died in Sindh, 1,063 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 125 in Balochistan, 146 in Islamabad, 41 in Azad Kashmir and 34 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The number of corona patients in Sindh has reached 99,362 while in Punjab 84,587, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 29,052, in Balochistan 11,052, in Islamabad 13,731, in Gilgit-Baltistan 1,605 and in Azad Kashmir 1,459 corona patients.

The number of people recovering from corona in Pakistan is more than active cases and so far 140,965 corona victims have recovered. At present the number of active cases of Corona in Pakistan is 91,602, the daily corona testing capacity in the country has exceeded 60,000.

132 testing laboratories are working. One thousand 525 ventilators are allocated for corona patients. Trace, test and quarantine strategies have been effective in 30 cities.
