COVID-19: Toll increases in Pakistan, Lockdown extended
Lahore, 14th April: The entire human race is in a state of war against an invisible, implacable and lethal enemy. The virus has put all the states under pressure as each one is devising plans to combat COVID-19. According to reports of Baaghi TV, Pakistan is seeing a rapid increase in the confirmed cases of coronavirus all over the country. To contain the spread of the virus the government is considering increasing the lockdown for two more weeks. It may be noted that previously the government has announced a countrywide lockdown till the 14th of April. After assessing the situation of the affected persons in the country, the National Assembly is planning to extend the lockdown till the 30th of April. However, there will be relief provided to some sectors in the country during this lockdown. Some decisions are made to open construction and trade businesses. Few services/shops tailor-made plumber, electrician, mechanic and barber jobs will be allowed for a limited time in a day. However, transport, air travel, markets, shopping malls, wedding halls will be closed. No public gatherings will be allowed.
