New York, 23rd December: Hollywood couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are in no rush to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Baaghi TV: American power couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson had been one of the first few celebrities to contract the coronavirus.
The ‘Forrest Gump’ star, announced the decision taken by him and his wife to wait out to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Talking in an episode of Today, Hanks told host, “We’ll be getting it long after everybody who truly needs to get it.”
While looking back at his ordeal when he and his wife contracted the coronavirus, he said that those 10 days were really tough, but he was glad they did not give it to anybody else.
“Not just so that we don’t catch it but that you don’t give it to somebody in case you are one of those asymptomatic carriers,” said Hanks.
Earlier, Baaghi TV had reported that even 9 months after testing positive, the couple still had COVID-19 antibodies.
Being part of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) program, Wilson and Hanks, both 64, are required to get tested for the virus every couple of months.
