Crackdown to be Carried out Against Doctors and Hospitals
Rate list(s) to be displayed before treating patients in Rawalpindi
Rawalpindi (19th Aug, 2019): Decision finalized for launching a crackdown against doctors and hospitals that treat patients without displaying rate lists.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, the focal person for consumer council and consumer inspector Rawalpindi has confirmed that action will be taken against all doctors and hospitals [including private clinics] who do not display rate lists for treating their patients.
According to reports, cases will be submitted against all those violating the Punjab consumer act, in the courts of assistant commissioners and authority of consumer council deputy commissioner in Rawalpindi. Additionally, they will be fined approximately Rs. 50,000/- along with the imposition of the violation. Consumers will be able to register complaints in consumer protection council office in Rawalpindi against the doctors and institutes who fail to display rate lists.
