According to various reports on Tuesday, the outburst happened when Cruise apparently spotted two crew members standing less than a meter (3 feet) away from each other at a computer screen at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, England.
As per the latest news on the ‘Top Gun’ star’s enraged reaction, five crew members have quit the project over his charged rant on set.
A source told The Sun, “The first outburst was big but things haven’t calmed since. Tension has been building for months and this was the final straw. Since it became public there has been more anger and several staff members have walked away.”
“But Tom just can’t take any more after all the lengths they have gone to just to keep filming at all. He’s upset others aren’t taking it as seriously as him. In the end, he’s the one who carries the can,” the insider added.
According to reports, Cruise is so invested in making sure COVID-19 rules are followed while filming that he personally paid around $671,207 (£500,000) for the movie’s cast and crew to isolate on an old cruise ship.
The film, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, is scheduled to release in theatres on Nov. 19, 2021, provided there aren’t any further delays.
