Critically acclaimed director passes away
Mumbai, 17th August: Critically acclaimed director-filmmaker Nishikant Kamat has passed away in Hyderabad today.
According to reports, director-actor Nishikant Kamat breathed his last in a Hyderabad hospital on Monday.

The 50-year-old filmmaker was diagnosed with chronic liver disease. On July 31, he was admitted to AIG Hospitals, Gachibowli with complaints of fever and fatigue.

His health deteriorated on Monday and was put on a ventilator as his condition worsened.

The 50-year-old Kamat debuted as a director with Marathi movie Dombivali Fast (2005) and made his first Bollywood film Mumbai Meri Jaan in 2008.
He went on to direct Bollywood movies like Force, Drishyam, Rocky Handsome, and Madaari. Kamat was also known for acting in films such as Daddy, Rocky Handsome, Julie 2, and Bhavesh Joshi.
