CS Sindh Directs all Commissioners and DIGPs to Remove Encroachment on Irrigated Land

Karachi, February 13: The Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah said that effective plan for removal of encroachment on irrigation land along with timeliness be prepared and implemented accordingly.

This he said while in video link meeting with the Divisional Commissioners, DIGPs of all divisions of the province, attended by Secretary Irrigation, DCs and SSsP of all the districts. Sindh Chief Secretary directed the Commissioners to monitor the anti-encroachment drive in the division and also directed to DIGPs to provide police force to the district administration as per their requirements to carryout the anti-encroachment drive on the irrigation land.

Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah directed all the DCs and SSsP to enhance their coordination on removal of encroachment and further directed all the DCs to submit the certificate after removal of the encroachment that there is no any government state /irrigation land is encroached in their respective districts, as the same certificates will be submitted in the honorable Sindh High Court as per court directions.

In the meeting, the Divisional Commissioners informed the Chief Secretary that a facilitation center is being established in Commissioner office and the posted focal person will keep in liaison and coordination with all the district administration and officials of irrigation for getting updates and also acquire the desired plans and reports.
