CTP Rawalpindi carries out operation against vehicles

RAWALPINDI, Mar 18 (APP): City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi carried out operation against vehicles having tinted glasses to maintain security on eve of Pakistan Day while illegally installed police lights were also confiscated in view law and order situation.

According to police spokesman, Chief Traffic Officer Rai Mazhar Iqbal awarded certificates of appreciation and cash prizes to traffic wardens for showing best performance while show cause notices were issued those who were found negligent in performing their duties. Those who received awards were identified as Senior Traffic Warden Faisal, Senior Traffic Warden Abdul Ghaffar and Traffic Warden Safwan.

CTO Rai Mazhar Iqbal said that officers and personnel performed well would be encouraged at every platform adding that such officials are pride of the department. He pointed out that traffic wardens should perform their duties with professional responsibilities and more efficiently.

On the other hand, he said that departmental action would be taken those who were found negligent in performing their duties.He made it clear that City Traffic Police Rawalpindi was pursuing a policy of merit and self-accountability which would be ensured without any discrimination.
