Customs ASO impounds illegal goods, vehicles  worth Rs.2753.71 m

Lahore:  Customs seized a huge quantity of smuggled / non-duty paid goods and vehicles during July, 2021 to November , 2021 worth Rs.2753.71 million.
The Anti-Smuggling Organization of Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Lahore on the directions of Mr. Basit Maqsood Abbasi, Collector of Customs Enforcement, Lahore headed by Mr. Muteen Alam, Additional Collector, Ms. Sidra Naz, Assistant Collector, and team consisting of Mr. Faiz-ur-Rahman, Superintendent, and Mr. Javed Iqbal Butt, Mr. Shahid Bakhtair Bhatti,  Mansoor Elahi, M Saleem Khan, Muhammad Saleem Shahid, Hassan Mahmood, Abdul Ghaffar, Inspectors seized a huge quantity of smuggled / non-duty paid goods and vehicles during July, 2021 to November , 2021 worth Rs.2753.71 million. Goods include Cloth, Tyres, Cigarettes,  Dry Fruits, Medicines, Cosmetics, etc. Vehicles include, Toyota Land Cruiser (V8), Toyota Hilux Surf, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota Mark X, Toyota Vitz cars.  Cases of valuing  Rs. 2149.1 Million were made during the corresponding period of last year (2020-21). An increase of 28.12% excess is as compared with the corresponding period of last year.
