Cypher Case Challan: Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi found Guilty

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has submitted the challan for the Official Secret Act in the court based on which, Chairman PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf) Imran Khan and senior leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi have been declared guilty.
According to Baaghi TV reports, the FIA has requested that PTI Chairman and former Foreign Minister S. M. Qureshi are to be tried to and punished.

Senior PTI leader Asad Umar has not been included in the list of accused meanwhile, former Principal Secretary Azam Khan has become a strong witness for the FIA. Azam Khan’s statement of 161 and 164 have been attached with the challan.
According to reports, former Prime Minister and Chairman PTI, Imran Khan, allegedly kept the cypher and misused the state secret. Delivering his speech on March 27, Shah Mehmood Qureshi reportedly assisted the PTI Chairman. A transcript CD of the senior leaders’s speech from March 27 has also been attached.

On the other hand, the FIA has submitted a list of 28 witnesses to the court along with the challan. Foreign Secretary Asad Majeed and former Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood are also among the witnesses. Other names include Additional Foreign Secretary Faisal Niaz Tirmazi. According to reports, from the Foreign Ministry to the Prime Minister’s office, all names have been included.
