Islamabad, 16th December: In the Daniel Pearl murder case, the judges raised essential questions and adjourned the hearing.

According to a Baaghi TV report, petitions were heard against the decision of the Sindh High Court in the Daniel Pearl murder case, in which Justice Yahya Afridi asked whether the state or the plaintiff requested to make the postmortem part of the trial?

Justice Sardar Tariq asked how it was inspired that Daniel Pearl’s body was buried in such and such a place? Justice Sardar Tariq should have taken necessary steps by applying to the trial court.

Lawyer Faisal Siddiqui said that the High Court should have exercised its discretion if no important evidence was recorded. The body was not identified till the trial court’s verdict.
The court said that the post-mortem report was not part of the challan. There could have been a challan. Justice Yahya Afridi said what will we appeal to the Supreme Court now.

Lawyer Faisal Siddiqui said that the matter could be sent to the trial court or the High Court. Justice Sardar Tariq said that the plaintiff did not even record his statement in the trial, even if everything happens, the evidence has to be added by the prosecution.

Supreme Court adjourned the Daniel Pearl murder case till tomorrow.

It may be remembered that Daniel Pearl, 38, was abducted in Karachi in January 2002 while doing research on religious extremism. Later, a graphic video showing his decapitation was delivered to the US Consulate after a month of his abduction.
