Danish FM reaches Pakistan on two day visit

Oct 1, 2021: Denmark’s Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod has arrived in Pakistan on a two-day official visit to discuss issues of mutual interest and the regional situation, including Afghanistan, with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

On arrival at Islamabad Airport, the Jeppe Kofod was received by the Air Manager. The distinguished guest accompanied by his delegation visited the Airport Lounge. He was briefed on the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

The Danish Foreign Minister is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi. The two Foreign Ministers will discuss the latest developments in Afghanistan and bilateral cooperation

The visit is taking place at the invitation of Foreign Minister Qureshi from September 30 to October 1, 2021, the Foreign Office said in a statement on Thursday. It said the two foreign ministers would discuss Afghanistan’s latest developments and bilateral co-operation.

During the visit, Foreign Minister Jeffe Kofod will also hold talks with other dignitaries.

It is noteworthy that Denmark is a valuable trade partner of Pakistan. Bilateral relations are growing as the two countries transform their cooperation into new avenues, including renewable energy and green technologies.

Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod visit will play a positive role in strengthening multilateral bilateral relations and enhancing mutual understanding between Pakistan and Denmark on regional and international issues.
