DCFA seeks secretary Livestock Punjab help to control Lumpy Skin Disease

Lahore: Secretary Livestock Punjab Naveed Shirazi meets Central and Punjab Committee of Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association (DCFA) of Pakistan .

The meeting was chaired by DCFA president Shakir Omar Gujjar.

Key points were discussed on preventing the spread of lump disease in Sindh and other provinces of the country.

In Punjab and other provinces, entry of cattle from Sindh is likely to be stopped.

Possibility of closing entrances to prevent movement of cattle from Sindh to other provinces has been expressed.

To prevent this disease, the entry of cattle to Punjab can be stopped under section 144.

Association requests the secretary to take precautionary measures to prevent the disease.

Institutions across the country have been working to prevent and diagnose the disease, the secretary said.
