The fifth death anniversary of veteran Pakistani film actress Firdous Begum was observed.
Born in 1947, her real name was Parveen. She rose to prominence with her memorable role as Heer in the classic Pakistani film Heer Ranjha.
Firdous Begum also starred in several other successful films including Fanoos, Khandaan, Malang, Lai Lag and Aurat.
During her career, she appeared in more than one hundred and fifty Punjabi, Urdu and Pashto films.
She passed away in Lahore on this day in 2020.
