Death anniversary of poet Nasir Kazmi today
The 53rd death anniversary of renowned Urdu poet Nasir Kazmi is being observed today (Sunday).
Born on 8th December 1925 in Ambala, British India, he settled in Lahore after creation of Pakistan and served as editor of different Urdu newspapers.
He also remained associated with Radio Pakistan and other literary organizations.
Nasir Kazmi’s firs poetic collection was Barg-e-Nai.
He died in Lahore on this day in 1972.
