Debi Mazar defended her “beautiful” friend Madonna as the internet continues to rag on the singer’s physical appearance.

“I don’t pay attention to any of it,” Mazar told Page Six at the Miscast23 Gala earlier this week. “I think Madonna is beautiful and I don’t pay attention to what people say about me or about anybody.”

“Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in. A world that refuses to celebrate women pass [sic] the age of 45 And feels the need to punish her If she continues to be strong-willed, hard-working, and adventurous,” she wrote on social media.

The “Goodfellas” star said she remembers the day Madonna got signed by record honcho Seymour Stein, who recently passed away, as reported by Page Six.

“I remember the day that it was happening and the day that he signed it,” she told us, sharing that she was “really sad” to hear of Stein’s death.

“He was a real mensch, a true New York visionary and I was very happy that he said yes to her and changed her career,” she explained.
