10th February 2021: A delegation of the Fleming Fund Grant led by British High Commissioner Dr Christian Turner called on President Dr Arif Alvi.
Dr Arif Alvi observed that the indiscriminate use of antibiotics in different fields for every ailment needs to be controlled. He said the uncontrolled use of antibiotics leads to a host of health complications. He said that the emergence of the coronavirus has further complicated the issue of overuse of germ-killing medicines.
He said Pakistan is currently dealing with a lot of issues related to pharmaceutical drugs. He said we are committed to playing our role in the international effort to combat disease.
