Delhi Police file a case against Greta Thunberg

Lahore, 4th February: Delhi police has filed a case against Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg for supporting the ongoing Framers’ protests in India.

Baaghi TV: Delhi police have reportedly filed a case against the Nobel Prize nominee Greta Thunberg for spreading misinformation after she showed solidarity with farmers protesting in India for their rights.

According to a report by NDTV, Delhi police have accused the teenage climate activist of ‘promoting conspiracy and enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language and acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony.’

As per earlier reports, Thunberg shared a news report by CNN on her Twitter account and wrote, “We stand in solidarity with the #FarmersProtest in India.”

She also shared a link of an updated tool kit to read the latest updates on the ground situation in India and said, “Here’s an updated toolkit by people on the ground in India if you want to help. (They removed their previous document as it was outdated.)”

As per latest reports, reacting to Delhi police’s move, Thunberg has once again tweeted about the protests and wrote that she still stands with the farmers.

The climate campaigner tweeted, “I still #StandWithFarmers and support their peaceful protest. No amount of hate, threats or violations of human rights will ever change that. #FarmersProtest.”
