Delhi’s royal mosque announced closure due to COVID-19
Thursday, Jun 11: According to the report of Baaghi TV, the closure of the Royal Mosque in Delhi has been announced.
The royal imam of the mosque, Maulana Syed Ahmad Bukhari, has announced that the historic Delhi Jama Masjid will remain closed till June 30. The decision was taken in view of the rising incidence of coronavirus in Delhi. Two days ago, Amanatullah Khan, the secretary of the royal imam Syed Ahmad Bukhari, died due to coronation.
The imam of the royal mosque, Maulana Syed Ahmad Bukhari, has appealed to the authorities of all mosques in India to consider reopening mosques due to the rising incidence of coronavirus.
Imam of Shahi Masjid Maulana Syed Ahmad Bukhari said that I request the officials of all other mosques to appeal to the people to offer prayers at home and not to bother to come to the mosques.
It may be recalled that the Delhi Jama Masjid was reopened on June 8 as per the instructions issued by the Central Government of India. The Jama Masjid in Delhi has been closed again in view of increasing cases of Coronavirus.
