Dr. Babar Awan, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs called on Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser.

Islamabad, 9 February 2021 ؛ Dr. Babar Awan, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs, called on Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser on Tuesday. Legislation and important issues of national importance were discussed in detail during the meeting. A meeting will be convened on Tuesday. The two leaders agreed to conduct the proceedings of the House under the rules and regulations of the Assembly.

Speaker Qaiser said that it was the joint responsibility of the government and the opposition to conduct the proceedings of the House in a cordial manner and ensure a conducive environment in the House. He further said that important issues of legislative and national importance would be discussed in the next session.

He said that the eyes of the people are fixed on their elected representatives so in order to fulfill the trust of the people, the elected representatives of the people have to solve their problems through the parliament. Can suggest solutions to public problems using style.

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Babar Awan, while praising the role of the Speaker in conducting the proceedings of the House effectively, said that the ruling party and the opposition have always been given equal opportunity in the proceedings of the sitting. He hoped that the members of the National Assembly would keep the rules and regulations in mind in the next session and would play their positive role in conducting the proceedings of the House in a conducive atmosphere. Important issues of public importance should be discussed so that the confidence of the people in their elected representatives can be increased.
