ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 13, (Online Int’l): Central leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Mian Aslam has said that the forcible dismissal of 700 employees of Allama Iqbal Open University was reprehensible and amounted to economic murder.
It is cruel and unfair for those who promise 10 million jobs to suddenly fire those who have been employed for 20 to 25 years. He said this while addressing a protest rally. Meanwhile, a protest was staged outside the National Press Club Islamabad against the expulsion of 700 daily wage employees from Allama Iqbal Open University.
Protesters chanted slogans for their recovery for four and half hours. Sajid Janjua and Madam Rukhsana also addressed the protest.
