Disney to Reboot ‘Lizzie McGuire’

Disney to reboot original series Lizzie McGuire as confirmed by Hillary Duff who is set to revive her role as a grown up version of the titular character. 

According to reports, American singer and actor, Hilary Duff, reportedly confirmed the reboot for the Disney series back in August when she shared a post on her official Instagram handle. Duff expressed that she had been trying to keep the update contained and that she is excited to be back home.

She captioned the post stating, “I am beyond excited to be home again, back with my girl ♥️… and into her 30’s”.

As confirmed by Duff, the series will premier on Disney+ which is an extension of Disney channel yet largely a separate medium producing content under the Disney label. However, recently Hilary Duff has shared another update with her fans who are eagerly awaiting the premier for the series, by posting a picture with the actors who played the roles of her family in the Lizzie McGuire series broadcast in the early 2000’s.

Duff has hinted that the original cast might be returning to reprise their roles as her father, mother and annoying little brother, for the Disney+ reboot by stating, “🤯 we are standing in what will soon be the McGuire living room.” She continued to add, “We doin this #lizziemcguire #disneyplus”.

While no official date has been announced for the series premier regular updates by Hilary Duff, has fans hooked to the expected reboot.
