Disney to remake Home Alone and other Classics

Disney+ a streaming service which was unveiled in April and will be launching in November in North America. The cost of the service would be $6.99 per month half the price of Netflix subscription. The service will be accommodating Marvel, ” star wars”, Disney Animation and Pixar.

Recently the CEO of Disney, Bob Iger on a conference call with investors said that the company would be remaking the 90’s Christmas classic “Home Alone” along with “Night at the Museum”, “Cheaper by the Dozen” and the “Diary of the Wimpy Kid” for it long awaiting streaming service.

Home Alone, an all time famous movie, was released in 1990 and featured Macaulay Culkin. Movie had audience rating of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.5 rating on IMDb.

Yet the company made no statement related to how or when the film will be made and who will be cast.

“We are also focused on leveraging Fox’s vast library of great titles to further enrich the content mix on our… platforms — for example, re-imagining ‘Home Alone,’ ‘Night at the Museum,’ ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’ and ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ for a new generation on Disney+,” Iger told investors on Tuesday.
