Disturbing Incident of Torture in Pakistan Sheds Light on Inequality | Baaghi TV

A recent video shared by Zunaira Maham has sent shockwaves throughout Pakistan, revealing the brutal torture of a 14-year-old girl at the hands of a family in Islamabad, allegedly headed by a Civil Judge.

The video depicts disturbing scenes of the girl being subjected to torture in at least 15 different locations, with the abuse even extending to her private parts. The young girl’s head is said to have an open wound, with insects seen crawling inside. It is reported that she was later abandoned by her abusers at a bus stop and was eventually taken to a hospital in Sargodha by her parents, who were unable to fully address the severity of her wounds. She has since been transferred to a government hospital in Lahore for further treatment.

Authorities have arrested the individual responsible for finding the employment for the young girl, but surprisingly, the judge and his wife have not yet been questioned by the police, despite their alleged involvement in the incident. The judge has denied any wrongdoing, despite the fact that the victim had been employed by the family for six months.

This distressing incident has once again exposed the stark inequality in Pakistani society, where the privileged can often evade accountability for their actions, while the common people face harsh consequences for even minor offenses. Corruption seems to shield those in power, enabling them to avoid justice and even leave the country if they choose. This stark contrast is evident in the alarming number of prisoners across the country’s provinces who have not been convicted, with proportions reaching as high as 70% in Sindh, 71% in KP, 59% in Baluchistan, and 55% in Punjab, while high-profile criminals continue to evade punishment, often enjoying their ill-gotten gains from abroad.

This incident serves as a harsh reminder that justice and equality must prevail in society, irrespective of one’s social standing. It highlights the urgent need for reforms to address the prevalent issues of corruption, impunity, and the unfair treatment of the common man in the country. By acknowledging and tackling these challenges, Pakistan can aspire to become a more just and compassionate society that protects its most vulnerable members.
