Do the Royals Drink?
London, 20th July 2020: There is no denying the fact that the royals have to follow various strict rules, and if you’ve ever wondered whether a wine is prohibited for them, then we’ve got the answer.
Just like any average British folk, the royals also drink wine.
However, here we present you with a list of their favorite regal drinks of choice:
Milk: Balanced diet or unhealthy drink?
The Queen:
In 2017, the monarch’s former chef Darren McGrady reportedly shared that the Queen drank four cocktails a day. Whilst talking to CNN he said, ‘She’d be pickled if she drank that much. All I said was she likes a gin and Dubonnet. That’s her favorite drink.’

He further clarified that the queen, however, does not drink daily, ‘She doesn’t wake up in the morning and have a large gin and tonic.’ Darren also shared that when the Queen does have a drink with dinner it is typically a glass of her favorite German sweet wine. ‘Just in the evening. She certainly doesn’t drink four glasses a day.’

During her and Prince William’s recent visit to Ireland, they attended a special reception at the Guinness Storehouse’s Gravity Bar, where they were offered to taste a pint of Guinness. However, this wasn’t the first time the couple had visited a bar, rather one previous occasion even saw them put their own drink-serving skills to the test.

In early 2019, the Duke and Duchess visited Northern Ireland where they attended an informal party at Belfast Empire Hall and Kate pulled a pint in the bar! She has been also been spotted enjoying a glass of Guinness to celebrate St Patrick’s Day in the past as well.
Duchess of Sussex: 
Meghan enjoys a glass of wine and even named her former lifestyle blog ‘The Tig’ after Tignanello – an Italian blended red wine. Way back in 2012, Meghan shared with ‘Today’: “At the end of a long day, there is nothing I enjoy more than a glass of wine. I used to be of the ‘it doesn’t matter, so long as it’s red’ persuasion, but then I grew up, and so did my palate.”

Prince Harry: 
Like various other British men, Harry likes a pint of beer. In the summer of 2019, Harry, Meghan, and their son Archie were seen at The Rose & Crown pub in Berkshire, which is a ten-minute drive from their Frogmore Cottage home in Windsor. Several people saw Harry enjoy a couple of pints as baby Archie slept in his mum’s arms.

Prince William: 
Similar to his younger brother, William also enjoys a good pint. The royal has been spotted at Battersea, London’s Prince Albert pub in Battersea, in October having a beer with ex-England midfielder Frank Lampard as the two watched the Euro 2020 qualifier with locals.
