Donald Trump calls Indian strikes in Pakistan, Kashmir a ‘shame’

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday reacted to reports of India’s military strikes on targets inside Pakistan, describing the situation as “a shame” and urging both countries to de-escalate.

“We just heard about it. It’s a shame,” Trump told reporters, commenting on what is being referred to as Operation Sindoor.

“I hope it ends very quickly. Nobody wants to see two powerful nations going down that road,” Trump added. “These are countries with long histories and deep tensions, but the world needs peace, not more conflict.”
