Dr Aamir Liaquat has announced his resignation from his National Assembly (NA) seat of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Karachi, according to reports.
In a message on the social networking site Twitter, Dr Aamir Liaquat said that he has resigned from the National Assembly and wished Prime Minister Imran Khan and the party well.
قومی اسمبلی سے استعفی ارسال کردیا ہے اللہ تعالی عمران خان اور پی ٹی آئی کا حامی و نا صر ہو ۔ اللہ حافظ

It is to be noted that he has resigned before but the Prime Minister did not accept the resignation and it is still possible that he will not accept the resignation. It may also be recalled that Dr Aamir Liaquat had earlier hinted at resigning from the Assembly in January 2020.
He had stated:
“Where to go to solve the problems? I want to make it clear that no federal minister answers the phone of a member of the National Assembly. That being the case, at least I will not hesitate to resign from my seat.”
