Lahore, 20th August: 25-year-old doctor and a blogger allegedly committed suicide in Karachi, Pakistan.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, Dr. Syeda Maha Shah, a 25-year-old resident of Karachi died on August 18 after allegedly shooting herself following a domestic dispute with her father.

Shah was later rushed to Jinnah Hospital in critical condition. However, as claimed by her family and the police, she succumbed to her injury and died within a few hours, according to local media reports.
According to the police, the family of the deceased claim that she committed suicide in her washroom on the first floor of the house. The injury caused by the bullet fired from a pistol appeared to be on the backside of her head, as per reports.
Suicides Among Doctors Were Too Common in India
However, according to the police, those who commit suicide don’t usually shoot themselves in the back of the head but rather the temple or forehead.
According to local media, the pistol and an empty cartridge have been taken from the scene as evidence. It is yet to be found whom the weapon belongs to.
Police are investigating the matter. Reportedly, Maha Shah committed suicide after a fight with her father. She was also reported to have been suffering from depression after her parent’s divorce.
Besides being a physician in Karachi she was a blogger and had a huge fan following on her Instagram page. She had shared a post on depression just a day before her alleged suicide.

Meanwhile, her parents have refused to proceed with any probe into their daughter’s death and reportedly insist that it was a suicide.
After medical formalities, Shah’s body has been sent to her ancestral home in Mirpurkhas for burial.
It is really heartwrenching to see such a situation where every other day we go through a story of suicide.
