Brazil: Police in Brazil have successfully recovered a coffin full of drugs.

According to a report of a foreign news agency, the Brazilian police in a successful operation in the state of Guiz arrested a 22-year-old accused after recovering a large quantity of drugs from the coffins of a Corona patient.

Police arrested the suspect while he was driving with two coffins during the funeral and contained 626 pounds of hashish inside the coffin.

The driver told police he was carrying the bodies of two people who had died of the corona virus in the town of Mato Grosso do Sol across Ponta.

According to the report, the accused was asked for the documents of the vehicle but he failed to provide them and on suspicion, the police searched the vehicle and recovered hashish from the vehicles.

The defendant stated in a statement to police that he was to receive 50 950 for transporting the drug “Guinness”. Police say a case has been registered in the incident. The accused could face up to 15 years in prison in a drug trafficking case.
