Dubai unveils the world’s deepest swimming pool
Dubai, which has the world’s tallest building as well as many other records, has built the world’s deepest swimming pool for swimming enthusiasts.
The depth of the swimming pool is 60 meters. It has 14.6 million liters of fresh water, equivalent to six Olympic-sized swimming pools. With lights and music, divers can play table football and other games at the bottom, as well as explore the ‘sunken city’.
The swimming pool is also equipped with 50 cameras for entertainment and security.
The cost of an hour’s diving here ranges from 135 dollars to 410 dollars and will soon be open to the public.
“The oyster-shaped structure pays homage to the UAE’s pearl-finding tradition,” said Jared Jablonski, director of DeepDive Dubai, based in Florida, USA, referring to the structure of the pool.
Dubai, which will host Expo 2020, which was delayed in October, reopened to tourists in July last year. It has launched the world’s fastest vaccination campaign against the corona virus.
