Lahore, 10th March: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the candidates for the position of senators from Islamabad and four provinces.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, ECP notified on Wednesday the induction of newly appointed senators to the upper house of the parliament after the Senate polls on March 3.

As per reports from Geo News, a notification which went on to list candidates that had won across the various seat categories in Islamabad, as well as in each of the four provinces read, “In pursuance of Section 124 of the Elections Act, 2017, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Election Commission hereby publishes the names of the following candidates returned to the Senate of Pakistan in place of the Members whose terms will expire on 11th March 2021 under clause (3) of Article 59 of the Constitution.”

Senators From Islamabad:

As per reports, two senators from the Federal capital were elected, PPP’s Yousuf Raza Gillani to the general seat and PTI’s Fawzia Arshad to the women’s seat.

Senators From KP:

11 senators were notified from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), where 7 senators were appointed to general seats, 2 to technocrat seats including ulema, 2 to women’s seats and 1 to the seat reserved for Non-Muslims.

Senators From Punjab:

11 senators were inducted to the upper house in Punjab where 7 have been appointed to general seats, 2 to technocrat seats including ulema, and 2 to women seats.

Senators From Balochistan:

From Balochistan, 12 senators have been notified, 7 to general seats, 2 to technocrats including ulema, 2 to women seats and 1 to a seat reserved for Non-Muslims.

Senators From Sindh:

As per reports, 11 senators have officially been notified from Sindh, 7 to general seats, 2 to technocrats including ulema, and 2 to women seats.
