Eid Celebrations | Prayers for National Security & Prosperity across Pakistan

LAHORE: Eid prayer gatherings were held across Pakistan, with hundreds praying for the prosperity and security of the state and its citizens.  

The largest gathering for Eid prayers in the federal capital Islamabad was held at Faisal Mosque, where political figures, foreign ambassadors, and hundreds of citizens offered Eid prayers. A separate provision was also made for women in Faisal Mosque. In Rawalpindi, Eid prayer gatherings were held at Eidgah Sharif, Liaquat Bagh, Mohra Sharif, Imambargah Padiqi, and other places in which thousands of citizens participated.

Eid-ul-Fitr prayers were arranged at the polo ground in Karachi, led by Qari Muhammad Salimi. Former Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar, Mirza Akhtar Baig, and Mirza Ishtiaq Baig offered Eid prayers at the Polo Ground. Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori offered Eid prayers at Governor House while MQM Pakistan chief Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui offered Eid prayers in Azizabad.

A large Eid prayer gathering was held at the Data Darbar Mosque in Lahore, in which prayers were offered for the country’s security, prosperity, and stability.

Meanwhile, in Peshawar, Eid-ul-Fitr prayers were offered at the main Eidgah on Charsadda Road. Chief Khatib Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Maulana Tayyab Qureshi led the Eid prayer. Eid prayers were also held in other mosques and open places across the city in which special prayers were offered for the development of the country, Palestinians, and the people of Occupied Kashmir. Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur offered Eid prayers at DI Khan and offered special prayers for the country.
