According to a Baaghi TV report, Prime Minister Imran Khan has met with a delegation of coalition parties in Karachi. Also present in the meeting were Governor Sindh Imran Ismael, Minister for Privatisation Muhammad Mian Soomro, and Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi. The delegation included Waseem Akhtar, Kunwar Naveed Jameel, Kishwar Zehra, Ayaz Latif, Hasnain Mirza, Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Haleem Adil Sheikh, Syed Afridi, Ashraf Qureshi, Arbab Rahim, Irfan Marwat, and Sardar Abdurraheem.
The Prime Minister was given recommendations regarding development work and administrative reforms in Sindh.
The Prime Minister said that the political leadership in the past did not serve the public. Previous governments only used power to serve their own ends, whereas the joint mission of PTI and its coalition partners is elimination of corruption, reduction in poverty, and serving the public. The Federal government is offering every possible cooperation to every province including Sindh.
The Prime Minister further said that administrative reforms and devolution of power to the local level can make real development possible.
The Prime Minister was also scheduled to visit the Ehsaas Centre at Larkana today, and also meet party members there. Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi, Minister for Privatisation Muhammad Mian Soomro, Special Assistants Dr Sania Nishtar, Lt. Gen. (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa were scheduled to accompany the Prime Minister.
It may be noted that Chief Minister Sindh did not receive the Prime Minister, and nor has any meeting been scheduled between the two during the two day official visit.
