Embezzlement, corruption worth billions revealed in PIA

Embezzlement and corruption worth billions of rupees has been revealed during the audit of Pakistan International Airline (PIA).

The revelation came during two inquiries by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Corporate Crime Circle, after which two cases will be registered soon and important arrests are also expected.

The FIA ​​has completed two inquiries against the PIA over allegations of financial corruption and embezzlement.

During the inquiries, embezzlement of billions of rupees has been revealed. According to sources, the inquiries were completed after the financial audit report of PIA. Inquiries against PIA have been made by the Corporate Crime Circle.

Cases will be registered soon after both the inquiries, cases will be registered against the then management of PIA for causing damage to the national exchequer, after which arrests of more senior PIA officers are expected.

The former chairman and officers have already been arrested in a previous case, FIA officials confirmed to a private TV channel.
