A small plane conducted an emergency landing at Ottawa Airport, and fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. Ottawa paramedics reported that the plane’s front landing gear failed to lock in place as the pilot prepared to land.

The aircraft, which had two occupants on board, circled for approximately two hours before attempting the landing, eventually coming to a stop with some damage to its propellers. Despite the damage to the plane, both individuals on board safely walked away from the incident unharmed.

According to Krista Kealey, a spokesperson for the airport, the Cessna pilot had alerted the control tower about landing gear issues, prompting the airport’s fire service team and the Ottawa Fire Service to respond, following standard procedures.

As a result of the emergency landing, the runway was temporarily closed for six hours. However, airport operations were not significantly impacted by the incident.
