Emergency imposed in Murree, several deaths confirmed
Thousands of tourists have reportedly been stranded in Murree due to heavy snowfall, after which the roads from Islamabad to Murree were closed. According to reports, nearly 19 tourists in vehicles have been confirmed dead due to the extreme cold. The district administration of Rawalpindi has claimed that so far more than 27,000 vehicles have entered Murree as more vehicles are awaiting entry. However, no more tourists will be allowed to enter Murree. This decision has been taken keeping in view the rush of tourists and traffic jams across Murree.
