In preparation for Saudi Arabia’s upcoming National Day celebrations, Emirates is set to increase its capacity between Dubai International (DXB) and Riyadh’s King Khalid International (RUH) this week. The country has observed Saudi National Day as an official holiday since 2007, driving a surge in air travel demand this year.
The Dubai-Riyadh corridor is already a bustling route, with Emirates currently operating seven daily flights.
Departure times from the UAE hub vary conveniently throughout the day, ranging from 01:25 (EK815) to 22:10 (EK2270). According to FlightRadar24.com, these flights have an approximate duration of two hours, with 80 to 90 minutes spent in the air.
To meet the heightened seasonal demand, Emirates will add three additional rotations between Dubai and Riyadh this week. These special flights are scheduled for September 20th, 21st, and 24th, with data indicating that they will be designated as flight EK2813 and will depart from Dubai at 17:20 local time.
