Lahore, 14th June: Palestinian Prime Minister said that it is the end of Benjamin Netanyahu’s chapter of controversy.
Palestinian Prime Minister Mohamed Ishtia said on Monday that the Israeli prime minister’s exit after 12 years means that one of the worst periods of the war between Israel and Palestine is over.
Mohammad Ishtia also said he has no misunderstandings about the new government or the possibility of a peace deal with the Palestinians.
Palestinian Prime Minister Mohamed Ishtia said ahead of the Palestinian Authority’s weekly cabinet meeting that the departure of Benjamin Netanyahu has closed one of the ‘worst periods’ in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
According to reports, the Israeli parliament on Sunday voted in favor of a new government led by right-wing Jewish nationalist Naphtali Bennett.
Bennett’s federation includes the Jewish state’s Islamic Conservative Party, including right-wing, moderate and left-wing parties.
However, Mohammad Ishtia also says he has no hope of a peace deal with Israel’s new government.
He added, “We do not see this new government as less bad than the previous one, and we condemn the statement made by the new Israeli prime minister, Naftali Bennett, in favor of Israeli settlements.”
