Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza survives assassination attempt as security guard foils attack
In a dramatic turn of events, a security guard valiantly thwarted an assassination attempt targeting the well-known religious scholar Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza in Jhelum.
The assailant, identified as Ali Hassan hailing from Gujrat, was apprehended while concealing a sharp-edged weapon beneath his clothing. As he attempted to enter the premises of the Research Academy, he forcefully pushed aside the alert security guard. This incident occurred while Engineer Ali Mirza was present in the building.

Law enforcement officials revealed that the suspect, Ali Hassan, subsequently confessed to his sinister intentions. He admitted to intending to carry out the assassination of the respected religious scholar.

Muhammad Ali Mirza was born on 4 October 1977 in Jhelum. He is a 19th-grade mechanical engineer in a government department.

Assassination Attempts
On 14 March 2021, Ali survived a second assassination attempt, the first in 2017. The attacker visited his Quran academy in Jhelum, Pakistan at weekly meeting and attempted to kill him with a knife while taking a picture with him. Ali escaped with minor injuries. Police arrested two suspects and registered an FIR against them. The attacker had traveled from Lahore to Jhelum to kill Ali.
